Dr. Gena Poovey

As Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Gena Poovey's choirs have performed in Carnegie Hall, Salt Lake City, Utah, York, England, and in Austria, as well as for concerts and events on Limestone's campus each semester. She has also conducted works by Faure, Handel, Scarlatti, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Dubois, and Pinkham. As a performer, she continues to sing recitals in North and South Carolina and has performed numerous roles including Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Margot in Desert Song, Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, Mrs. Nolan in The Medium, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, and Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone. Dr. Poovey and her husband, Noah Lindemann, are active in non-profits arts organizations and projects in the Upstate.
