Professors Brett Schenning and Carolyn Ford Exhibited in I AM MAN Juried Exhibtion

I AM MAN

Professors Carolyn Ford and Brett Schenning had works accepted in the I AM MAN juried exhibit at the CAVA gallery in Gaffney. These works were on display July 13-August 26, 2017 as part of the Peach Festival events. Professor Ford exhibited two figure drawings while Professor Schenning exhibited two gelatin silver prints.

This exhibit accepted images that dealt with the interpretation of the male (human), masculinity, or related interests. Cherokee Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) is a non-profit organization located in the Gaffney Visitors Center. The gallery is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm, Saturdays, 9am to 1pm. 

Brett Schenning has worked at Limestone College since 2015 and has been the key source for invigorating photography in both digital and dark room. He is a cherished member of both the art and ID departments collaborating by teaching a freshman seminar special topics course for Freshmen in photo.  Professor Schenning is currently planning additional exhibitions to be announced soon. Professor Schenning teaches photography, art history, art appreciation, special topics in photo,  and other foundation courses. 

Carolyn Ford has worked at Limestone College since 2003 and served as the Department Chair since 2010. Professor Ford predominantly teaches drawing and ceramics but has taught almost all courses except photography since she has worked at LC. She is currenly preparing a large body of work to be exhibited at Waterworks Visual Arts Center as well as an upcoming show at SUNY Brockport, NY.
