Art and Architecture at the Biltmore

Seventeen participants from the Art Department visited the Biltmore Estate Friday, November 4th during the opening of it's Christmas celebration. While there, they viewed the art collection, toured the house, visited the greenhouse and gardens, and ended the day with an architectural lecture rooftop tour.

"The Art Department strives to provide motivational learning experiences that connect history, terminology, and theory to their contemporary art production. We also hope to show students that art, architecture, and crafts exemplify the culture that supports our endeavors. Just as the Vanderbilt family saw the importance of investing in and hiring skilled artisans, we hope that students and Limestone community will also see our efforts as valuable," --C. Ford, Department Chair.
