Load Crew

"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." Henry Ford, American industrialist, founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production.

ALL NEW PERSONNEL – freshmen, transfers, 1st-year participants of the Marching Saints – regardless of a section will be members of the LOAD CREW. The LOAD CREW represents ultimate TEAMWORK – which is the heart of our ensembles.

"If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else." – Booker T. Washington, American educator, author, orator, and advisor to presidents of the United States. Between 1890 and 1915, Washington was the dominant leader in the African-American community.

The returning members of the Marching Saints, Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, and many other ensembles at Limestone have set the standards HIGH by doing their part to load/unload the truck. The LOAD CREW is overseen and organized by the Equipment Coordinator. It is important to allow the Equipment Coordinator to handle the procedures for loading/unloading as he or she is responsible for the well-being of the instruments & equipment. EVERYONE has/needs to be a member of Load Crew for an ACADEMIC YEAR.

The LOAD CREW is responsible for loading/unloading equipment and instruments onto and off of the truck. Individuals who have equipment or instruments that require transportation via truck are responsible for bringing their equipment or instruments to the loading/unloading area at the proper announced time(s). NO ONE on LOAD CREW is responsible for bringing another’s instrument(s) or equipment to the loading/unloading areas (nor are the Travel Managers).

"Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work."  Vince Lombardi, Head Coach, Green Bay Packers (‘59 – 67), 6x NFL Champions
