The Department of Music at Limestone College, in continuing to participate in the festivities around our "Christmas on Campus" celebration, will be hosting our 2nd annual TUBACHRISTMAS event on Saturday, December 10, 2016. This event is hosted annually on the same date as Christmas on Campus, and in addition to our traditional festivities including the reading of the Christmas Story, the arrival of Santa Claus, and the lighting of our campus Christmas tree, we incorporate the TUBACHRISTMAS concert!
Our TUBACHRISTMAS event comes from the official program established by Harvey Phillips and continued by his family and the Harvey Phillips Foundation. In the spirit of TUBACHRISTMAS, our event is open to the public: any tuba/euphonium player is welcome to take part in our concert!
The schedule for TUBACHRISTMAS is as follows:
- 4:00 PM: Registration Opens in the Lobby of Fullerton Auditorium
- 5:30 PM: Rehearsal begins on stage in Fullerton Auditorium
- 6:30 PM: Rehearsal ends, move to the Plaza in front of the Curtis Building
- 7:00 PM: Christmas on Campus and TUBACHRISTMAS begin!
Our first TUBACHRISTMAS in 2015 was held on Saturday, December 5.
The 2017 event will be announced during the summer, along with information on pre-registration (not necessary, but helpful) and other details to get yourself to Limestone College to participate with us!
